To strengthen the BD Biosciences (BDB) Team in the Nordic, we are currently looking for a talented and highly motivated individual to join our Team as Clinical Field Application Specialist (FAS). The BDB Nordic Clinical FAS serves as a subject matter expert for flow cytometry applications and provides training and application support on BDB instrument and reagent systems to our customers in the Nordic region, while supporting the Nordic Sales Team with various pre-sales activities. The Clinical FAS will be part of the BDB Nordic team, which consist of 17 associates. The Clinical FAS will report to the Nordic Business Development and Application Support Manager.

The ideal candidate has a customer-focused mindset and strong hands-on experience and knowledge on flow cytometry instruments, software, and reagents, preferably with clinical flow cytometry applications, such as leukemia and lymphoma analysis.

Duties and Responsibilities

Providing high quality flow cytometry training and technical application support to the BDB Nordic customers on BDB cell analysis systems (flow cytometry instruments, software, reagents), both on-site and remotely.

Supporting BDB Nordic Sales Team with pre-sales activities, such as customer presentations and product demonstrations (instruments, reagents, software, and workflows).

Providing support in marketing related activities, such as seminars and demonstrations related to new product launches.

Serving as technical resource for internal associates and providing technical expertise at tradeshows, user meetings, and other events.

Keeping up to date with the technology, science, regulatory requirements, and actively providing customer feedback to the rest of the organization.

Performing other related duties and assignments based on the business needs.


Master’s Degree (M.Sc.) in Life Science fields.

Minimum 3 years of practical hands-on experience in Flow Cytometry, including instrument setup, sample preparation, troubleshooting and data acquisition and analysis.

Previous experience in customer-facing role / industry is an advantage.

Knowledge and experience in multi-color panel design, phenotyping, and other flow cytometry applications.

Experience in clinical flow cytometry applications, such as leukemia and lymphoma diagnosis, is an advantage.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent presentation and training skills.

Effective organization and planning skills and ability to coordinate and collaborate with other functions such as Sales & Technical Service.

Team player with the ability to work independently and in results-driven manner.

Quick learner with ability to adapt to change and new technologies.

Customer-focused mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.

Good written and verbal communication skills in English. Scandinavian language is an advantage.

Valid driver’s license.

Ability to travel 60-80%.
