Challengermode was founded in 2014 with the mission to make esports truly accessible for regular gamers. Today, we’re an innovative esports platform taking everything from grassroots organizing to commercial projects to the next level. As a company, we are growing exponentially and as such, are looking for a Social Media Manager to help us engage further with our community of organizers and players.
The team at Challengermode is a group of highly agile esports fanatics who have been using a keyboard and mouse (or optionally a controller) since they were in kindergarten. We are now looking for someone to join us in our journey towards building meaningful and strong relationships with our community. This position plays a key role within Challengermode as we shape our narrative in the esports ecosystem.
A normal day in the Marketing team can range from filling the social media editorial calendar, to a short meeting with a Partnerships Manager who wants you to help them emphasize a new deal by talking about it on socials.
You could be running a competition or a giveaway on Instagram or in the community Discord channel, or you could be answering mentions on Twitter and engaging in conversations about our product or the esports industry in general.

We’re looking for results-driven, hard-working people at Challengermode. You have a good understanding of and dedication to esports and or games. What drives you is to always achieve the best possible results within your capability, using your resources to apply a problem-solving approach to challenges that may arise.
Being self-sufficient is a hard requirement for this position as it revolves around expanding and continuously activating the Challengermode brand. You have experience in social media management and are no stranger to using modern social media platforms effectively.
Serve as the voice of Challengermode and as the first point of contact for our social media.
Develop, manage, and improve the editorial calendar for our various communication avenues.
Curating, sourcing, and scheduling content.
Develop and execute social media campaigns and analyze results to inform decisions.
Keep up to date with the latest social media trends and emerging social media platforms in the industry.
Work with the Marketing, Design, and Partnerships teams to create high-quality, engaging, relevant, and timely content.
Pursuing a university degree in marketing/communications/business
Excellent spoken and written English.
Proficiency using the Adobe Suite of products (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, etc.)
Previous work experience within esports/communications/social media management.
You’re structured and track your work.
Ability to collect, process, and present relevant data.
Having a strategic mindset.
Attentive to details.
You’re fluent in Spanish or Portuguese.
A relevant degree in marketing/communications.
You’re proficient in writing product copy.
You have previously worked in a tech company.
